Thoughtfully Made in Australia

Every Kinfolk Pantry tool is made right here in Australia using plant-based PLA bioplastic. Our play tools are thoughtfully designed for durability, everyday play and creative exploration, with small-batch production and careful attention to material use.

We also transitioned to an all-PLA material instead of our previous part-wood design to create more consistent quality across each piece.

Playdough Cutter Sets: Build fine motor skills through storytelling

Our Playdough Cutter Sets are designed to spark storytelling, imaginative thinking, and small world play. Whether it’s a mushroom from the fairy garden, a tiny turtle from our pond set, or a roaring dinosaur, each shape becomes a character in a child’s unfolding world.

Cutting and pressing also strengthens hand muscles and fine motor coordination, laying the foundations for future writing skills. Pair them with nature finds such as leaves, pebbles and petals for a beautiful mix of sensory and imaginative learning.

Playdough Stamp Sets: Encourage cause & effect, language & coordination

Our Playdough Stamp Sets offer rich sensory input through texture, shape, and pattern. As children press and lift the stamps, they explore cause and effect, pattern recognition, and begin to describe their creations, supporting early language and cognitive development.

Our Interchangeable Stamp Handles add another layer of learning. As little hands slide the tiles in and out of the stamp handle, they build fine motor control, hand strength, and coordination, all while choosing their own themes and expressions. It’s the perfect mix of creativity, independence, and skill-building.

 Playdough Rollers: Promote calm coordination & hand strength

Rolling dough is a soothing, rhythmic activity that helps regulate the nervous system and develop bilateral coordination. Our rollers are perfectly sized for little hands and feature subtle patterns (like flowers or roads) that invite storytelling and fine motor engagement.

Using rollers strengthens the fingers and wrists, which is essential for pre-writing development and dexterity.

Play Moulds: support sensory integration & open-ended exploration

Unlike cutters, our play moulds are made to be pressed and filled, not sliced. This invites multi-sensory exploration, kids can use mud, fizzing mixtures, playdough, or sand to create layered “pies,” potions, or nature treasures.

Perfect for loose parts play, mud kitchens, or messy sensory setups, these tools help children experiment with textures, pressure, and imaginative outcomes. They’re also ideal for supporting tactile regulation and sensory processing.

Our newest addition, the Playdough Extruder, is all about hands-on experimentation and playful problem-solving. As children squish dough through the tube, they explore resistance, shape, and texture.

They begin to ask: What happens if I twist the end? What if I layer colours? These questions support creative thinking, scientific inquiry, and planning skills, all disguised as fun!
